Each site features linked curriculum resources to enrich the learning experience. Project Description: The world’s first online sustainability platform for school communities. Sustainability Wiz takes schools on a journey towards sustainability using tools, resources and classroom and whole-school programs to drive eco-change in the school and wider community. Based on 100 years of practical experience with thousands of schools, Sustainability Wiz gives teachers a unique solution for incorporating sustainability in meaningful ways into curricula, operations and culture. Utilising online learning combined with teaching materials the Gould Group and E Tech, an Australian software company, are piloting climate change education modules that have the potential to reach every student in Australia at over 10,000 schools. Project Outcomes: The online program has been trialed by schools across the globe in Australia, UK, USA, China, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Built into the program are measuring and assessment tools to assist the schools cut their use of water and energy, saving millions of dollars a year on their power and water bills. Independent research proves that Sustainability Wiz enables schools to make significant triple bottom line savings – economic, environmental and social - and activates change throughout the wider school community. Ann-Maree Colborne, CEO of the Gould Group says, “The international platform of the Sustainability Wiz will place Australia at the forefront of Climate Change education providing children in Australia schools with the opportunity to discuss issues and exchange ideas around the Globe on a consistent educational platform.” Can donors/grant makers give directly for this project?
