CHARITY AWARDS PROCESS Initially, nominated organisations are assessed on their financial and organisational performance as reflected in their annual reports and how they meet the specific criteria for each award. Once a short-list has been drafted, a detailed report on each short-listed organisation is compiled. Following Givewell’s due diligence process, based on standard research methodology and supplemented by interviews with CEOs from the short-listed charities (where applicable) and a peer review by fellow members of the Givewell team, two winners emerge from this process.
